1953-1979 Jeep Universal Tune-up & Repair Guide, by Chilton - cover CJ3B CJ5 CJ5A CJ6 CJ6A
A Shop/Service/Repair Manual is a technical guide to diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair a vehicle, usually for a particular make, model, and year or range of years. If something is wrong with your car and you want to diagnose it and fix it, or if you're undertaking a restoration, this is the resource you need. These manuals typically cover the engine, transmission, electrical systems, chassis, body, and more. Factory shop manuals are officially issued by the vehicle manufacturer and are the most complete and authentic manual you can get. Alternately, aftermarket manuals, published by third party companies such as Haynes, Chilton's, or Clymer, are usually less expensive alternatives. While they were not originally written specifically for restorations, shop manuals are essential for completing one properly.
